Ana Sagar Lake is a magnificent artificial lake that is located in the city of Ajmer in Rajasthan, India. The lake gained prominence especially during the rule of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan who constructed marble pavilions around the lake. It was only later that the Daulat Bagh Gardens you see today, were set up by Mughal ruler Jahangir. The beauty of the lake has become so renowned, that the government itself has decided to stop any further modernization of the catchment areas.
